Terms of Service

GEO Lantern (“the Service”) is a web-based AI readiness scanning platform operated by the GEO Lantern team (“we”, “us”, “our”). The Service analyses publicly accessible websites and provides an AI Readiness Score, category breakdowns, and actionable recommendations.

By accessing or using GEO Lantern at geolantern.com, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these terms.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Scan websites you do not own or have permission to analyse at excessive volumes designed to disrupt target sites
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Resell or redistribute scan results as a competing service without our written consent
• Transmit malicious code or attempt to compromise the security of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of these terms, with or without notice.

Free Plan

The free plan provides limited scanning capabilities at no charge. We may modify free plan limits at any time.

Paid Plans

Paid plans (Pro, Business, Agency) are billed on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. Prices are displayed in US Dollars. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which will be calculated at checkout where required.

Billing Cycle

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged the applicable fee unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until then. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.

Refunds

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, contact us at billing@geolantern.com within 14 days of the charge.

Scan results are generated by automated analysis of publicly accessible web pages. Results are provided “as is” and should be used as guidance, not as definitive assessments. We do not guarantee that implementing our recommendations will result in specific outcomes in any search engine.

You retain ownership of any data you submit (URLs, account information). We retain the right to use aggregated, anonymised scan data to improve the Service.

All content, design, code, and branding of GEO Lantern are the intellectual property of the GEO Lantern team and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission. You may share and reference your own scan results.

API access is available on eligible plans subject to the rate limits specified for your plan tier. API keys are confidential and must not be shared. We reserve the right to revoke API access for misuse.

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time. We will endeavour to provide advance notice for planned downtime.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Material changes to paid features will be communicated to active subscribers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GEO Lantern and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the GEO Lantern team from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the website at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
