Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. If you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive the profile information they share.

Scan Data

When you run a scan, we store the URL you submitted and the scan results (scores, recommendations, metadata extracted from publicly accessible pages). We do not access any content behind authentication or paywalls.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Stripe provides us with a token, your card's last four digits, and billing address for record-keeping purposes.

Usage Data

We collect standard usage data such as pages visited, browser type, device type, and referring URLs. This helps us understand how the service is used and improve it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may use analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can control cookie preferences in your browser settings.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Scan results are retained according to your plan's history limits:

• Free plan — no history retained
• Pro plan — 90 days
• Business plan — 1 year
• Agency plan — unlimited

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and scan history within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated data may be retained for service improvement.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format

GEO Lantern is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
